Micronics portable flowmeters measure water flow in titanium processing plant
An established and recognised company within the water treatment and environmental services market hired 3 Micronics Portaflow 330 flowmeters in August 2018 for water mapping. They were required to measure the cold water flow into a chlorine dioxide generator at a South Wales titanium processing plant in order to size the equipment accurately. Altrincham-based Alchem Industries Ltd’s Regional Manager Andy Banham had heard about Micronics flowmeters and decided to hire the portable flowmeters. “I was initially unsure about how often they would be needed but have since decided to look into buying one as they are handy to have in our toolbox. They did the required job and delivered the data required so I was very satisfied.”
The Portaflow range from Micronics provide portable flow meter solutions bringing simplicity to the non-invasive measurement of liquid flow. The ultrasonic, clamp on and non-invasive flowmeters are specially designed for closed pipe applications, which means there is no interruption to process and no downtime during installation making for a rapid, efficient operation. They offer the user quick and accurate flow measurement with their easy to follow menu and simple set up. Data can be delivered within minutes of opening the case. Compact, rugged and reliable, the Portaflow range has been designed to provide sustained performance in environments such as the water, building services, energy management, power generation, chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries. They are recommended for measuring the flow of potable, river, cooling and demineralised water, water/glycol solutions, hydraulic, diesel and fuel oils, chemicals and petroleum products.
Alchem provide high quality chemical programmes, equipment and services into the industrial, institutional, building services and local government market sectors.
