Hayley Pumps – Micronics flowmeter used to measure flow and pressure of run-off from ready mixed concrete
One of the fastest growing engineering inventory suppliers in the UK hired a Micronics PF330 flowmeter for a project based in Dudley in the West Midlands to measure the flow and pressure of run-off from ready mixed concrete. The contaminated water needed to be agitated and recirculated so that it could be re-used. Nathan Oakley, Hayley Group Limited’s Onsite Audit Manager at the Derby site heard about the Micronics unit through a supplier and considered that the ease of installation and the maintenance and service benefits delivered by this non-contact technology would suit his requirements. The specialist Micronics product, used for liquid monitoring, with its integral logger and software and non-invasive measurement represented significant savings on installation costs and less disruption than when installing an alternative in-line meter. The Micronics clamp-on flowmeter is portable and easy to use and offers continuity and long term reliability.
Nathan Oakley was more than satisfied with his choice of flowmeter. “We found the PF330 so easy to use and so reliable that we subsequently purchased one outright and are currently in the process of buying a second one. I would definitely recommend Micronics flowmeters to other businesses who need a quick and reliable means of measuring flow accurately.”
Hayley Group has been established for 40 years and has over 40 branches in the UK and one in the Czech Republic. It has become an authorised supplier of some of the world’s top manufacturers. They introduced pumps 7 years ago to complement their stocks of electric motors, gearbox bearings and power transmission items. The pumps cater for additional flows, especially in high water or winter conditions.
