Micronics flowmeter records total waste water output in specialised facility
A Micronics U1000 helped a semi conductor manufacturer in South Wales with over 30 years of experience of fabricating world class, high end silicon devices to set up a discharge pipe to record total output of waste water in their highly specialised facility.
The company’s Lead Technician heard about the flowmeter from engineering suppliers, Miter Industrial Supplies in 2017 and believed it would offer the perfect solution to his requirements because it would measure the flow rates quickly and reliably. The fact that there is no need to cut into pipes meant that installation costs would be kept to a minimum because there was no need to drain the system. Furthermore only nominal configuration was required on site and dry servicing is possible, making operation and maintenance as well as installation very simple.
The Lead Technician is very satisfied with his discovery and would certainly use the Micronics unit again whenever the need for an accurate, reliable flowmeter arises. “We have found the accuracy of the data delivered to be excellent and its operation has proved exceptional. The U1000 has an easy to follow menu and offers a cost-effective alternative to the installation of a traditional in-line meter. It is designed to work with clamp on transducers and accurately measures liquid flowing through a closed pipe, without the need for any mechanical parts to be inserted through the pipe wall or to protrude into the flow system. It takes just a few minutes to install and there is no need to shut down flow or drain the system.
